Why is attendance different from check-ins?

A registration can cover guests, so one scan at the gate may admit two or three people. Counting scans undercounts the room. We record how many people each check-in admitted, so the attendance figure is people, not scans.

What if someone brings fewer guests than they registered?

The gate defaults to the whole party, which is right most of the time and keeps check-in to one tap. When someone comes alone, staff reduce the number before admitting them.

Do I have to collect guest names?

No. Names are optional per event. Many organisers only need the headcount for catering, so the form can ask for a number alone.

Does check-in work without internet?

Yes. Registrations are held on the device, so scanning continues through a wifi outage and syncs once the connection returns — which matters at venues where coverage is unreliable.
